GetaKit by ACAS is designed to make HIV self-testing available for East & Southeast Asian people living in Ontario. It is simple to register and complete a short survey to receive free HIV self-testing kits by mail. You’re eligible for a kit if you are: Any gender (cisgender, transgender, or non-binary) Any sexual orientation (lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, heterosexual, etc.) Any citizenship status including international student, temporary worker, or non-status Age 16 years or older HIV-negative or don’t know your status Not enrolled in an HIV vaccine trial Not diagnosed with a bleeding disorder
QTAY’s mandatory one-day training

Come join our crew by attending QTAY’s mandatory one-day training on Saturday, August 14 from 2-5pm EST and go through an interview.We are looking for 3 peer leaders to work a 10-month contract (approx. Sept. 13, 2021 – June 30, 2022). You will be paid $15/hrs, 8hr/week (refer to "Discussion" tab on event page to view the official Job Posting). Asian Transmasc Monthly Meet
This is a monthly group for East & Southeast Asian transmasculine and non-binary people. This includes all transmasculine-identifying folks or folks who may be questioning. We welcome people at any point of their transition. This monthly group is a safe space of support where we can share and learn from each other’s common experiences as Asian transmasc folks. Intersecting Tradition & Minority: In this workshop Tyler J Sloane takes participants through an exercise that examines the fundamental naming of both sexual, romantic, and gender identity using the 'Galaxy' format – including two-spirit identity as it exists in Canada. From there they will launch from, with participants, to unpack 2SLGBTQIA+ identity as the western world knows it, and how it intersects with Pan-Asian culture and the role of the Model Minority to further be used as a tool of oppression in being our authentic true selves. We will use mindfulness and writing prompts to identify how gender and sexuality has been built within our identity, and where we reside in those identities. Who can join? ACAS primarily serves those who identify as East and/or Southeast Asian living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. However, we know spaces for East & Southeast Asian transmasc folks are very few and we are happy to open this event to those living outside of Toronto. Please note that resources will be focused on Toronto due to our knowledge of local services and resources. #RisingYouth Workshop
This workshop is for Asian queer & trans folks under age 30. Are you not sure where to start or do you have an idea but need support turning it into a project? Join ACAS and TakingITGlobal (TIG) for an ideation session where we will brainstorm ideas based on your interests and passions that could potentially become #RisingYouth community service projects! We'll also have a grant writing session to help you turn your ideas and passions into actionable #RisingYouth projects! Men’s Humpday: Don’t Freak Out
The Humpday workshops are for gay, bisexual, queer Asian cis & trans guys to get together on the last Wednesday of every month. Lack of testing during this year has made it harder to get tested regularly and may have given rise to more STIs. Do you have trouble telling your hook up that they might have gotten an STI from you? Or on the other side, how do you react when someone tells you they might have given you an STI? In this workshop we discuss stigma around STIs and how that stigma can help STIs spread even more. We will also practice how to tell someone you have an STI and where you can go.
