QTA Art Collection!
Calling all Queer & Trans Asian artists and creators! We are working on an art collection and are looking to feature artists and their work. Send in submissions and a short blurb about yourself and your work. Feel free to remain anonymous, your work will still be featured! Submissions can range from paintings, illustrations, digital illustrations, photography, writing, poems, short stories, videos, short films, music and anything we can put into a digital format. Unfortunately videos, short films and music cannot be featured in a print version of the collection and will instead only be available on the digital version. There is also a chance we can make a physical version (magazine/book) of this collection! Submissions are due March 21st. We will be offering at least $25 honorariums for the first twenty people who submit work, but we will do our best to not only raise our honorarium budget, to expand how many artists we can support! We apologize for the uncertainty around payment, but rest assured, we do believe all artists should be paid for their work as much as possible, despite our limited budget. We will release a survey soon asking participants and audience members alike what they’d like to see from this project. We’d love to hear your feedback, so keep an eye out for that! This is part of a final project hosted by Marcus, a placement student for both the Youth and Men's programs! If you have any questions, please email Dany at youth@acas.org.
QTAY Art Space!
Are you looking for a space to make some art? Work on your own stuff, or come create something new! We are hosting an art space at the ACAS office for community members to gather and be creative! There will be some art supplies provided but feel free to bring your own supplies too. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, feel free to email Dany at youth@acas.org.
