Honest Talk About Preparing For Your Death
Fife House 490 Sherbourne St, Toronto, CanadaPlease join us for our next Community Forum. This time our topic will be: "Honest Talk About Preparing For Your Death." One day you're walking around living life...then the next day you feel a pain in your chest. You go to the doctor, who sends you to the hospital where you are told you have a terminal illness. They're not sure if you'll make it through the night. No one ever thinks this will happen to them but eventually our turn must come. What will happen to the money in your bank account, your possessions? Will anyone know what my final wishes are for my body? Do I want to be cremated or buried? Do I follow a certain religion? How do I arrange all of this? Join us for an in-person dinner and candid conversation with Kyle Vose, longtime HIV/AIDS and anti-poverty activist and worker, about his experience of being diagnosed with a terminal illness, preparing for end of life, and this destination that we all share. Our moderator for this conversation will be Ambrose Fan (ACAS volunteer.) This is our first in-person community forum in a long time, and we look forward to seeing you! Date and Time: Friday, August 25th, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Location: Fife House, main floor community room (490 Sherbourne Street.) To register please contact: support@acas.org
