ACAS Men’s Healthy Social Media Use
ACAS 260 Spadina Ave #410, Toronto, Ontario, CanadaTuesday November 19, 6-9pm Location: ACAS (260 Spadina Ave, Unit 410) Gay community is infamous for idolizing hypermasculine features and rejecting femininity and other non-masculine body types. These values are reinforced and replicated by the social media and within the community that is already closely connected to one another and lack diverse representation of lifestyles. There is understandably a growing concern for body dysmorphia and eating disorders for the same reasons why young women and girls are susceptible to these mental disorders. The goal of the workshop is to encourage men to think about the role and impact the social media has in their lives personally and how to moderate its use. Facilitated by our ACAS placement student, Ethan With support from Ryan Contact Ryan at men@acas.org for more info
