Tuesday November 19, 6-9pm Location: ACAS (260 Spadina Ave, Unit 410) Gay community is infamous for idolizing hypermasculine features and rejecting femininity and other non-masculine body types. These values are reinforced and replicated by the social media and within the community that is already closely connected to one another and lack diverse representation of lifestyles. There is understandably a growing concern for body dysmorphia and eating disorders for the same reasons why young women and girls are susceptible to these mental disorders. The goal of the workshop is to encourage men to think about the role and impact the social media has in their lives personally and how to moderate its use. This event is FREE for LGBTQ Asian cis & trans men, cis & trans women, and nonbinary folks. It's the Queer and Trans Asian Youth Bubble Tea Tour!!! QTAY (formerly QAY) was formed in 2000 and is turning 20 years old this year! To celebrate its 20th year, QTAY will be hosting a Bubble Tea Tour across Toronto and the GTA. We'll have a meetup each month in a different part of the city. To kick us off, our first location is Teashop 168 in North York. Before the boom of bubble tea, Teashop 168 was one of the first and largest bubble tea chains in North America. Throwback to some nostalgia of the first QAY bubble tea lounges. With plenty of space, we can have a larger group with fun games to meet and make new friends!
