Men’s Humpday: Self Pleasure
For Asian gay, bi, queer, cis and trans men In this month's virtual Humpday, join the ACAS Men's Team while we talk self-pleasure! With all that’s going on right now, it’s extra important that we give our bodies some extra love when we can. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to solo-sexploration, you’re welcome to join us while we share ways to get creative and enjoy ourselves without any extra hands (which could be fun to use with partners too!) Since shopping can be a challenge right now, we'll also be sharing common household items that can be used as handy substitutes to enhance the fun. We'll be covering both the top and the bottom (aka the penis and the anus) so feel free to tune in if you're curious about either. Everyone is welcome to share their own tips during the zoom call, and if you're curious but not as comfortable you can remain anonymous - you don't have to tell us your name or use video/audio. There'll be some interactive activities which can be done anonymously too so your level of participation is up to you. Room will open at 7pm for dinner/chats before we get into it. To receive a zoom link on the evening of the event, send an email to Zack at gaap@acas.org
(Re)Viewing the Rainbow
Join QTAY (Queer & Trans Asian Youth) for our Pride drop-in session! (Re)Viewing the Rainbow will focus on revisiting the evolution of the LGBTQ2S movement from the stone wall riots to present time. This event is for queer and trans Asian youth (13-29) who want to (re)visit their queer history and discuss what we can do as queer Asian folks to show solidarity with the Black community, a community that has propelled the movement and fought for the rights of marginalized LGBTQ+ folks. In this workshop we will be revisiting the history of pride, going into a discussion on addressing anti-Blackness as QTAY and walking folks through ways to advocate. This event will take place over Zoom video call on Saturday June 27, from 2-5:30pm. International Students Year-End Knowledge Exchange Forum
Over the last few months, ACAS has had the opportunity to conduct a community needs assessment with respect to HIV prevention for East and Southeast Asian gay, bisexual, and men who have sex with men (GBMSM) international students, and we are now excited to be able to share some of our findings to fellow community partners and service providers. As such, we are delighted to invite you to our Year-End Knowledge Exchange Forum on June 30th, 2020 from 2:30pm-4:30pm EST (via Zoom)! This event will include an opening testimonial, presentation of our findings, a panel discussion with community members, researchers and service providers to discuss emerging needs from their work with respect to HIV prevention and treatment access, specifically among East and Southeast Asian GBMSM international students. Our goal of this forum is not only to present some of our findings, but to also engage with community members, service providers and other researchers across sectors to generate a conversation about the unique needs of international students while also identifying how we can collectively better support international students. If you are interested, please sign up in the following Survey Monkey link below. Space will be limited, so please register early! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9FTKCRB Thanks, and we hope to see you at the forum!

Pillow Talk Workshop: Am I Good to You or Just Bad to Myself?
Am I Good to You or Just Bad to Myself?: Finding Balance Between Selflessness and Self-Care led by Karen B.K. Chan August 11, 7:30pm - 9pm (Register by Sunday, August 9th) TO REGISTER: https://forms.gle/nCtGuBMXtR5ATRm1A Put others before yourself. Be polite, modest, responsible, and self-sufficient. Self-sacrifice benefits the greater good. These are values that many of us were raised with and/or choose for ourselves. Their merits are obvious. But, how do those values reconcile with self-care, boundaries, and having our own needs met? Do you feel guilty when you say "no"? Do you prioritize others to the detriment of yourself? Do you find yourself exhausted, overly responsible, and resentful? In this interactive workshop, we will explore these ideas, connect them to identity and relationships, and seek balance. We'll develop collective empathy and individual aspirations. We'll breathe, sigh, and rejuvenate a little. Please join us for this year's Pillow Talk: From Isolation to Intimacy, an online forum about sexuality, intimacy, & relationships by and for Asian ciswomen, transwomen, and nonbinary folks, hosted by ACAS. Please register soon to ensure that you get a spot in our workshops! Who can participate? Asian women, Asian transgender women, & Asian non-binary folks 18 years and up East Asian and Southeast Asian background We acknowledge that there is unfortunate wording used in this post for legal / funding reasons.
