Services for People Living with HIV

Services for People Living with HIV

The HIV Support Program helps East/Southeast Asian people living with HIV (PLHIV) to achieve their optimal health and be valued and respected. Guided by the principles of living and serving as well as GIPA/MEPA (greater involvement and meaningful engagement of people living with HIV), our program engages and empowers PLHIV to improve their quality of life by enhancing their knowledge and skills in self-care and to make positive changes in their lives and the community.

We offer a range of services including:

  • Culturally and linguistically informed case management and counseling services
  • Linkage to health and social services
  • Complementary therapies (acupuncture, massage therapy, volunteer clinical counseling by a nurse practitioner),
  • Social events
  • Community coaches (accompaniments for medical appointments and home visits)
  • Emergency financial assistance
  • Information on HIV treatment
  • Capacity building opportunities through health and wellness workshops and sessions
