PinkDot TO 2024: Celebrating 10 Years of Asian LGBTQ+ Community in Toronto
In 2024, PinkDot TO celebrated a major milestone, marking its 10th year in Toronto and taking place during the 30th anniversary year of Asian Community AIDS Services (ACAS). Since its introduction to Toronto in 2014, PinkDot TO has created meaningful opportunities for Asian 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, families, friends, and allies to come together, celebrate diversity, and build community.
Held on November 21, 2024, at the 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture and the Arts, PinkDot TO 2024 welcomed community members from across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area for an evening of connection, celebration, and pride.
Supporting Asian LGBTQ+ Communities in Toronto and Canada
PinkDot TO continues to provide an affirming and welcoming space for Asian LGBTQ+ communities, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, nonbinary, and gender diverse individuals. The event promotes visibility, belonging, and community connection while celebrating the unique voices and experiences of LGBTQ+ Asians in Toronto and across Canada.
As one of the leading gatherings for Gay Asians in Toronto, Queer Asians in Canada, and Asian 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, PinkDot TO plays an important role in fostering inclusion, representation, and social connection.
Building Community Through Celebration
PinkDot TO 2024 featured performances, food and refreshments, a photo exhibition, raffle prizes, and opportunities for attendees to connect with one another in a welcoming environment. The event also highlighted performances by Asian Drag Kings, showcasing the creativity, talent, and diversity within Toronto’s Asian LGBTQ+ community.
More than just an annual celebration, PinkDot TO creates opportunities for community members to share stories, build relationships, and strengthen support networks that contribute to healthier and more connected communities.
